I have an M.A. (Religious Education) from St. John's University, Collegeville, MN, and an M.A. (Adult Christian Community Development) from Regis University, Denver, CO, as well as having completed a four-year Scripture program through the archdiocese of Denver. I have worked for the church in Prince George, British Columbia; Wapato, Washington; and Evergreen, Colorado; before moving to Reno in 1998 to work at Our Lady of the Snows. I also taught for both the archdiocese of Denver and Regis University as an adult educator. I am currently working on my Doctor of Ministry degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C..
My
ministry at this parish means that I supervise
the religious education (CRE) programs
for children, K-8th grade, who attend public schools. This includes
offering catechist training for those
who want diocesan certification and the
sacraments programs for children of elementary
age. I am also director of the teen confirmation program, oversee the program during 9:30 Mass called Children's Liturgy of the Word, and supervise RCIA for Children.
